Townscapes and buildings, and sometimes the things that happen in them, are my favourite subject matter. I like to find unique little corners that have a significance for reasons other than their beauty. Factory buildings that once churned out the products that shaped a town's history; drainpipes that coil elegantly round a corner; benches that are favoured by dog walkers. Fife’s towns and villages are a huge source of interest. Their relationship with the sea, and the variety of industry and social history described by the buildings, are wonderful to explore on paper. Came all right but it might be helpful to suggest a firmer backing for the calendar as a corner was slightly bent in the postage process. Also I would have liked to be able to see all the months but it was closed in its envelope and As I was sending it abroad as a gift could not open it. But I do love it!

I love the image that is used and

Its lovely. My Mum was always going on about remembering Dundee in the 30s. She made an amazing tapestry for a childhood friend who returned to America from Dundee in early 30s. This print will go to one of my sisters who lived there before I was born, in the 50s!
