This incense stick holder has been hand carved from reclaimed cherry wood in the heart of central Scotland. With this design I've gone for an elongated bowl shape and it is influenced by my childhood, growing up by the sea. No machinery was used in this carving, purely the saw and chisels.
I use quite a bit of incense myself and find the usual ones I see to have far too small a channel to collect the ash. It invariably falls out when the holder is moved, misses because the stick is off centre and needs emptied every stick. This doesn't happen with my holder designs. Deeper, wider collection channels ensure the ash is collected and stays there.
Please have a look at my other listings on The Common Market as I have a few stick holders for sale in differing finishes, woods and designs. As always, if you don't see what you want in the wood or finish that you require, I'm happy to make one to order for you if I can get the materials, just drop me a wee message.
