Paper cutting art -unframed boat in leaf

Paper cutting of a leaf with a tiny boat on ocean waves.

Cut by hand

Comes unframed

Made to order in two days of purchase date

This papercut came to life while I was doodling on a drawing I'd made of a freshly fallen leaf from my garden. While veins were turning into ocean waves, I decided it would be silly not to have a wee boat sailing on them. I then used the drawing to create a template for the cut.

As each paper cutting is done by hand with a scalpel, no two are exactly the same, making this a beautiful and unique addition to your home, or as a special gift for a friend or loved one.

This piece comes unframed, leaving you to choose which way you'd like to present it. I can recommend 'floating frames' where the papercut is suspended between two sheets of glass (as shown in accompanying photos), because this gives the opportunity for fabulous shadows, depending on the light of the day.

The papercut looks equally wonderful hanging on a wall, or as desk/table decor, and is also sturdy enough to remain unframed, if treated with care.

Cut from white, archival quality acid free 160gsm paper (meaning it will won't disintegrate or discolour over time).

Height - Approx 5 and 3/4 inches (14.5 cm)

Width - Approx 3 and 1/4 inches (8.5 cm)
